Lilly Alexander - Rise Up Finalist

Lilly Alexander

Hailing from a family station near Aramac in Central Queensland Lilly has spent her 19 years enjoying all a country lifestyle has to offer while taking advantage of the city lights during her boarding school years. Lilly’s preference in music is similar to her love of things blended between country and city. She takes inspiration from an eclectic group of artists not exclusive to Cam, Lady Antebellum, Kane Brown and Luke Bryan. She enjoys great harmonies and has a surprising love of Musical theatre. After her adventure year, honing her vocal skills and figuring out accompanying herself on guitar, Lilly commenced studying music in the Great South East. She waited out the covid lockdown in the wide open spaces where she performed as community events and live performance re-established. Lilly is excited to be back at Winton’s Way Out West Festival.

Tane-Rua - Rise Up Finalist

Tane-Rua

An old soul in a 21 year old body from Central Western Queensland, Tane-Rua’s music is influenced by Elvis, Bob Marley, Ray Charles and his life experiences. Tane has enjoyed performances opening for Lee Kernaghan at the Commonwealth Games Baton Relay Community Concert, Wolfe Brothers at Ilfracombe races, Electrik Lemonade at Longreach Races, King Social at the Longreach Show and as a featured artist in JMC Academy on line sessions After relocating to study in Brisbane during the crazy that is 2020, Tane has performed at a few venues as part of Brisbane City Sounds, The Tiger Eye Bar and Miss Kays. He learnt to play the guitar and then thought that would sound better if he sang. This is working out for him so far. He has a compendium of original songs across a few genres but is happy to play covers if better suited to the audience.
