WHAT IF THE FESTIVAL IS CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS?
The festival will remain on sale unless State or Federal Government Health regulations determine that it is to be cancelled. In the event of cancellation, you will be entitled to a full refund. This refund will be automatically processed by Moshtix and the funds credited to the card used to make the purchase. In the event of rescheduling you will be contacted by Moshtix. You have the option of transferring your tickets to the new performance date(s) or request a refund. We would suggest that if at all possible you show your support for the festival and the Winton community by attempting to reschedule rather than cancel your ticket.
IF I AM SICK OR HAVE COLD/FLU SYMPTOMS, CAN I RECEIVE A REFUND FOR MY TICKET?

If state or territory border closures are in place in the immediate lead up to or during the scheduled festival dates, you will be entitled to a refund. Please contact Moshtix by clicking here Moshtix enquiry as soon as possible to arrange an exchange or refund.
WHAT ARE THE AGE LIMITS ON TICKETS?
This is an all ages family-friendly ticketed event – children 12 years and under free.
There are youth, adult and family tickets available.
Concession tickets are available for pensioners. Your pension card will need to be produced at the Festival Entry gate when converting your paper ticket to an armband, otherwise the balance of a full priced ticket will be payable.
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY TICKETS?
Tickets can be purchased on the festival website or with Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards and PayPal (booking fees apply). We have a ‘lay-by’ option to pay off your ticket over time.
WHAT IS “TIME TO PAY/PAY AS YOU GO” AND HOW DOES IT WORK?
This ticketing facility allows you to pay equal instalments over a maximum of 2 payments. An initial deposit and booking fee are made and a future payment is debited from your nominated account. Details are on the ticketing page.
HOW DO I USE MY PRINT-AT-HOME E-TICKET TO GAIN ENTRY TO THE EVENT?
You can bring a print at home ticket or bring the PDF file and display the ticket barcode on your phone.
CAN I CHANGE THE NAME ON MY TICKETS?
Yes, you can change the name on a ticket. The cost is $5 for the first change and $10 for a second change. A maximum of two (2) changes is permitted. To reissue your ticket under a different name you simply need to log into your Moshtix account, click on ‘Manage Tickets’, and follow the steps. CAN I HAVE A FESTIVAL TICKET MAILED TO ME?
The tickets are only available as an e-ticket (sent by email when you order).
WHAT CAMPING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
Non powered camping is available at the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds for those with RVs/caravans/campers/BYO tent/swag or other means. Toilets, hot showers and drinking water are available at the campgrounds. Camping has 24/7 security and is within 900m of town to shop for all your supplies.
Limited powered camping is available at the Showgrounds which is approximately 3km by vehicle or 2km walking distance to the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds. Toilets, hot showers and drinking water are available.

Tent City is located adjacent to the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds.
This type of accommodation is called Tent City and is available to those who do not wish to bring their own tent or camping equipment. Erected tents are available in various sizes and include stretcher beds and tent light. Extras can be added such as linen, camp chairs and tables and these items are not included in the tent city camping packages.
24/7 security, toilets, hot showers and parking are provided.
Tent City camping packages are available in 5-night packages. All camping and Tent City tickets along with festival tickets must be purchased from the festival website before 5th March 2021. www.wintonswayoutwestfest.com.au
Long Waterhole is the festival’s free camping option. It is a scenic billabong about 4km from the town centre on Jundah Road. It’s suitable for self-sufficient campers (no water or power) and is dog friendly. Please note there are no marked spaces and camping occurs on a first-come first-served basis.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I HAVE IN MY CAMPSITE?
Each site is limited to one caravan, camper trailer or RV. You may add a small tent. Alternatively you may set up 2 tents instead of a caravan, camper trailer etc. A maximum of 4 adults or a family consisting of 2 adults and children of school age is permitted per site. Camp Marshalls will be on site to assist and to ensure that rules are followed.
IF I BOOK MULTIPLE CAMPSITES WILL THEY BE TOGETHER?
Both site owners or friends or family must arrive at the same time or have a representative of both groups to claim a site next to each other.
We don’t reserve or number sites.
WHAT CAN I BRING TO COOK FOOD?
Camping – gas stoves and kitchen facilities are permitted. No open fires.
IF I BRING MY CARAVAN OR MOTORHOME WHAT DO I DO WITH OUR WASTEWATER?
A waste grey and black water dumping pit is available in Winton.
There is no such facility at Long Waterhole, meaning free campers will need to be self-sufficient.
CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL?
Camping – yes, including the Eric Lenton Camping.
Tent City – yes.
Long Waterhole – yes.
No alcohol may be brought into the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds.
All areas of the festival site and campgrounds are glass-free.
Food is on sale at the festival and there is a licensed bar.
CAN I BRING A GENERATOR FOR CAMPING
Yes. For the consideration of other campers, generators ARE NOT to be operating between the hours of 10pm and 7am.
CAN I BRING A GENERATOR FOR TENT CITY CAMPING?
No. Generators are not permitted in Tent City.
WILL THERE BE DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE IN THE CAMPSITE AREAS?
Yes, drinking water will be provided in both the caravan site and Tent City areas. This is artesian water, and while perfectly safe to drink, can emit an odour that takes a little getting used to. Water is not provided at Long Waterhole and campers at that location will need to be self-sufficient.
CAN I PARK MY CAR NEAR MY CAMP SITE?
Yes, the Showgrounds Caravan sites will have sufficient car space at your site. If your car or additional vehicles don’t fit into the designated space, parking is available free of charge at the overflow car park nearby. No car park spaces are available in the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds. Car park spaces will be available within 50-100 metres from your caravan allowing you to use your vehicle during your stay. All Tent City camping will have a parking area for vehicles adjacent to tent city.
WHEN CAN I REMOVE MY CARAVAN OR MOTOR HOME FROM THE SITE?
Only on Sunday 11th following the festival.
CAN I BRING A BUS/RV/CARAVAN TO CAMP/PARK AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes. Camping is available at the Caravan Sites. Tickets must be purchased for camping, as well as admission to the main festival. You must be parked prior to 6pm.
WHEN CAN I ACCESS MY TENT AT TENT CITY?
Campers can access their tent at Tent City from 2pm on TUESDAY 6th April 2021 and must vacate by midday on Sunday 11th April 2021.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
If you are camping you are allowed to bring your dog, provided it is kept on a leash or secure, and not left to wander. Dogs are not allowed in Tent City or the festival grounds.
CAN I BRING MY UTE AND SET UP CAMP IN THE BACK?
Yes. Camping is available at the festival site, where toilets and hot showers are available. You will need to book camping tickets in addition to the festival tickets
WHAT IS MY LIMIT WITH A UTE SITE, CAMPSITE?
WHEN CAN I SET UP MY CAMP AT THE FESTIVAL?
Opening days and times for The Eric Lenton Festival Campgrounds and the Showgrounds in April are:
- Monday 5th 7am – 6pm
- Tuesday 6th 7am – 6pm
- Wednesday 7th 7am – 6pm
- Thursday 8th 7am – 6pm
- Friday 9th 7am – 4pm
- Saturday 10th 7am – 4pm
Tickets for camping must also be purchased along with your festival ticket.
Tent City camping is from Tuesday 6th April. Check-in is from for camping is from 2pm Tuesday 6th to Saturday 10th, 7am till 7pm.
All campers are to vacate the site before midday on Monday 12th April 2021. Tent City to vacate by midday Sunday 11th April 2021.
IF CAMPING AT THE SHOWGROUNDS SITE, ARE SHUTTLE BUSES SUPPLIED?
No, you will need to use your own transport or walk (approximately 2km) to the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds. Alternatively, we suggest that you can book a site at the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds.
CAN I BRING A CHAIR INTO THE MAIN FESTIVAL GROUNDS?
Yes it is highly recommended that you bring a folding chair to the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds to comply with Government Health Guidelines and social distancing measures.
WHAT MEASURES WILL BE IN PLACE TO ENSURE THE FESTIVAL IS COVID SAFE?
Hand sanitizer will be available at the entry gate, inside the amenities and at every retail outlet. Social distancing will be enforced, and it will be a requirement that all patrons are seated while enjoying the entertainment. You are urged to also carry your own hand sanitiser throughout your time in Winton.
HOW DO I CONTACT THE FESTIVAL OFFICE?
CAN I BRING FOOD AND BOTTLED WATER/SOFT DRINK INTO THE MAIN FESTIVAL PRECINCT?
Water bottles are permitted and must be sealed. No softdrink is allowed. A water recharge station is available in the festival precinct, as well as bottled water on sale. Infant and toddler food can be brought into the Festival Site. All eskies/backpacks will be searched, and any alcohol confiscated. The festival has a licenced bar and food on sale. All areas of the festival site and campgrounds are glass free.
HOW CAN I GET TO WINTON?
Travel by motor vehicle – a conventional motor vehicle is okay – no 4WD required.
WILL THERE BE MOBILE SIGNAL AND WIFI?
Free Wi-Fi is provided by the Winton Shire Council in Elderslie Street (main street). Mobile phone services operate on 3G and 4G.
Telstra is the only current service provider in Winton.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE PROGRAM FOR EACH DAY?

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE IN APRIL?
The weather in Winton during the festival should have approximate highs and lows of 32*c in the daytime and 17*c during the night.
WHAT IF I BECOME UNWELL DURING MY VISIT TO THE FESTIVAL?
Over indulged? Headache? Blisters? Dehydrated? Forgot your meds? Medical services are being provided by QAS (Queensland Ambulance Service) in cooperation with the Winton Hospital, RFDS and Winton Pharmacy throughout the festival.
CAN I BRING A CAMERA OR DIGITAL CAMERA WITH ME TO THE FESTIVAL?
Yes. However, professional video or digital cameras are not permitted without promoter accreditation.
WHAT TIME CAN I ACCESS THE MAIN CONCERT ON FRIDAY 9TH APRIL AND SATURDAY 10TH APRIL 2021?
Gates will be open at 1pm each day.
Entertainment will commence from 1:30pm on the grounds and from 3pm on main stage and conclude at 9:30pm. Winton’s iconic hotels will offer entertainment following the festival program closure each night.
AM I REQUIRED TO HAVE A CAMPING PASS TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE FESTIVAL SITE?
The festival is promoted as a camping event however you do not require a camping pass to gain access to concert venues; only your festival armband is required.
WHAT ARE MY ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS FOR THE FESTIVAL?
This festival is a camping event.
Hotel/motel and caravan park accommodation in Winton is limited so we recommend that when purchasing your festival ticket, you can choose from the various camping options available.

WHAT IS GENERAL ADMISSION (GA)?
WWOWF is General Admission Event which means that there is no reserved or allocated seating. Due to Covid Safe requirements, patrons are strongly encouraged to bring their own chairs to the Open-Air concerts on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th at the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds.
WHERE DO I APPLY TO BE A VOLUNTEER?
We will be opening Volunteer Applications on 1st December 2020 and available on the festival website.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
It is the Promoter’s policy to play, rain or shine. In the case of rain, ponchos will be available for purchase.
CAN I SET UP A STALL AT THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS?
Please email Festival only enquiry with your expression of interest.
CAN I SMOKE IN ALL AREAS OF THE FESTIVAL SITE?
There will be designated areas within the Festival Site where smoking is permitted. There will be signs to let you know where any smoking areas are located.
WILL MY BAGS BE SEARCHED?
Yes it is a condition of entry to the Festival Site and Camp Site that a search of you and/or your possessions and/or vehicles be required at the time of entry to the Festival Site and Camp Site. If you do not consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the Festival Site and Camp Site without refund.
Any Prohibited Items (refer above) will be confiscated and will not be returned.
ARE PRAMS PERMITTED?
Yes – prams are permitted into the Festival Site and the Camp Site. Due to the Festival’s sound amplification, we recommend that all small children attending the Festival wear earmuffs.
WILL PASS-OUTS BE ALLOWED?
You may enter and exit the Festival Site and Camping Site provided you keep your Wristband on at all time to gain entry back into the Festival Site / Camp Site.
CAN I BRING MY ESKY WITH FOOD OR DRINKS INTO THE FESTIVAL SITE?
The Eric Lenton Festival Grounds and its outdoor concert area is a fully catered and licensed venue. STRICTLY NO BYO FOOD OR BEVERAGE (except sealed water bottles) are to be brought into the Festival Site. Free drinking water will be available at the water stations. You can bring in unsealed EMPTY plastic or metal bottles or plastic or foam cups.
Food is allowed into the Camp Site, alcohol is permitted in the campgrounds and we ask your drink responsibly (no glass). No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the Festival Site.
WHAT KIND OF FOOD AND DRINK IS GOING TO BE SOLD AT THE FESTIVAL?
We aim to have an extensive range of food and drink options available at the festival. This includes options for Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten/Dairy Free diets. If you have strict dietary requirements and need to bring your own food, please bring a doctor’s note with you to show on entry to the festival.
WILL THERE BE FIRST AID AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes, there will be a First Aid Area – refer to the Festival Map which will be available on our website closer to the date of the Festival.
QAS (Queensland Ambulance Service) will be operating at the Festival Site 24 hours a day to assist you with any medical condition you may have.
In the event of an emergency, please make your way to one of the emergency exits and follow the directions from Festival Staff.
WILL EFTPOS BE ACCEPTED AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes. EFTPOS facilities are available at the bars, merchandise and retail outlets. In line with Government Health Guidelines, the festival will be contactless with no cash transactions. You are advised to use the ‘tap & pay’ feature on your debit or credit card.
Prepaid debit cards can be purchased at any Post Office or from Winton Shire Council. However incase Telstra goes down there will be two ATMs on the festival grounds.
IS THERE AMPLE CAR PARKING FOR DISABLED PATRONS?
Yes, there is ample parking for disabled patrons.
ARE PETS ALLOWED AT THE FESTIVAL?
No, pets are not allowed into the Eric Lenton Festival Grounds unless they are guide dogs.
IS THE FESTIVAL LICENSED?
Yes, the festival is fully licensed – please do not bring alcohol with you as it will be confiscated and will not be returned, and the offending patron(s) may be ejected from the Festival Site / Camp Site for the remainder of the Festival. Only alcohol purchased from bars at the Festival may be consumed at the Festival Site.
If you wish to consume alcohol, you must have a valid proof of age photo ID. You must be of legal age (18 years) to purchase and consume alcohol on the Festival Site.
If you are found supplying or buying alcohol for a Minor you will be evicted from the Festival and may be referred to police.
